"Music Makers for Life"
"I love to sing!"
Teacher

Ms Marissa Tingus

Hi! My name is Marissa Tingus. I teach voice and early childhood music in the “Little Mozarts” program. I have been a lifelong singer, but my first major performance experience was in my fifth-grade talent show; after that I wanted to be center-stage all the time (maybe a bit like your child). I have studied singing in high school and college as well as with years of private instruction. I am currently a music major. I believe that music is very important for everyone and that everyone can learn. I enjoy working with all types of students young and old and look forward to meeting you as well!

What was your favorite genre of music growing up?

My favorite songs when I was growing up were all the love songs on 92.5 and Mix 96.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies are singing, reading, writing music, photography, and playing on the piano and guitar.

If you could learn any new instrument, what would it be?

I would like to learn the drums, bass guitar, and violin.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can sing opera!  I have also perfomed in a number of musical theater productions.

What is your favorite drink at Starbucks?

It would have to be the passion iced tea lemonade.  Yummy!!
